The WEF doesn't enter into the discussion about the reasons of global warming. However, we think it's always better to be safe than sorry. Therefore, we want to make our initiatives carbon-free.

Our target is inspiring students to green our world. We focus on both personal and planetary sustainability to reduce our environmental footprint while enhancing our personal health. The excessive deforestation, the environmental pollution, and the lack of green spaces in big cities are several reasons why we feel it is imperative to act now on behalf of our children's health and that of their planet.

We will adopt Environmental Education (EE) at the WEF. EE refers to organized efforts to teach about how natural environments function and, particularly, how human beings can manage their behavior and ecosystems in order to live sustainably.

The Brazilian city Curitiba focuses upon maintenance using green methods, for example, parks that are trimmed by sheep. They are also known for one of the best transit systems, so commuters are encouraged to leave their cars at home.
