New Teachers

teach-for-all-logoThe 'New Teachers Project' of the WEF is based on the full support of the program "Teach For All" developed in another international non-governmental organization, which carries the name of this program. Our mission at the WEF will be seeking sponsorship to extend this initiative to the highest number of schools around the world, so that they can apply this so effective program.

Social enterprises in 'Teach For All' recruit outstanding university graduates and young leaders of a variety of disciplines and career interests to commit two years to teach in high-need areas, providing a critical source of additional teachers who ensure their students have the educational opportunities they deserve, despite socioeconomic factors.

The WEF will act as one of this social enterprises and seek to expand 'Teach For All's' mission for the greater number of less developed countries in Latin America, Africa and Asia, especially for countries which have not yet adopted the strategy.

In countries where the work has already begun, such as in Brazil, we wish to extend the program. In this case, beyond the borders of Rio de Janeiro, where it has had excellent results.

Unifying Teach For All's Mission *

Organizations in the Teach For All network seek to address educational need in their countries by enlisting their nations' future leaders in the effort. Teach For All's mission is to expand educational opportunity internationally by increasing and accelerating the impact of these independent social enterprises..

The social enterprises in Teach For All recruit outstanding university graduates and young leaders of a variety of disciplines and career interests to commit two years to teach in high-need areas, providing a critical source of additional teachers who ensure their students have the educational opportunities they deserve, despite socioeconomic factors.

With significant training and ongoing support, participants work to succeed with students, in the process gaining a deeper belief that it is possible to ensure educational opportunity for all and a first-hand understanding of how to achieve it.

Over time, alumni work as leaders in the classroom, in education more broadly, and across all sectors to effect the fundamental changes necessary to ensure educational opportunity for all. Alumni work to minimize the socioeconomic challenges facing some children, build capacity in schools and school system, and change prevailing beliefs through their examples and advocacy.

In pursuing this common mission, Teach For All’s members must overcome significant challenges in developing their programs, generating private and public sector support, and building their organizations. By providing a global support network for these social enterprises, Teach For All helps its members save time, climb learning curves more quickly, access additional resources, and collaborate. The end result is greater scale, student achievement, alumni leadership, and organizational strength in each member country.
